This study is an exploratory investigation into the effects of therapist and client public self-disclosure in single-session group music therapy on stress, as measured by physiological indicators such as heart rate variability (HRV), in patients with Chronic Widespread Pain (CWP). Thirteen CWP patients selected based on rheumatology specialist recommendations participated, with data from 12 patients analyzed, excluding one client who performed the role of public self-disclosure. HRV was recorded while one therapist and one CWP participant engaged in public self-disclosure. Overall statistical significance was examined using repeated measures ANOVA, followed by post-hoc tests using paired-sample t-tests and Bonferroni correction for significance level adjustment. As a result, during therapist public self-disclosure, a significant decrease in mean heart rate (mHR) was observed in CWP participants. During client public self-disclosure, CWP participants exhibited a significant increase in mHR and decreases in SDNN, VLF, and TP. These findings suggest that therapist public self-disclosure in group music therapy may have a positive impact on reducing participant stress, while client public self-disclosure may have a negative impact on increasing participant stress.

Despite the fact that the intervention of feminist discourse in media art can raise important questions that expand epistemological and ontological thinking about human beings, conceptual and practical discussions on cyberfeminism have been lacking in the Korean art world. Therefore, this study identifies the history and contemporary issues of cyberfeminist art and analyses the female body and gender identity in the Korean artist Ayoung Kim’s post-cyberfeminist works. By analysing the historical, sociocultural, economic and political issues surrounding the mass/data fragment ‘Petra Genetrix’ in Porosity Valley, Portable Holes and the protagonist delivery rider ‘Ernst Mo’ in Delivery Dancer's Sphere, as well as the aesthetic approaches to dealing with them, this study sheds light on the meaning of Kim's works in the post-cyberfeminist landscape. As a result, both protagonists have hybrid identities that are not defined by the Western modern paradigm, and the uncomfortable encounter with the doppelganger, who is imagined as another self and other in the work, reveals the monstrosity of the subject, who cannot be completely liberated from the unequal structure of power and hierarchy (syntax), but constantly disenchanted from it (sorcery). As post-cyberfeminist art practices, Kim's works question the belief that cyberspace is a utopian space where existing hegemonies can be overthrown, and establishes it as a space where the real and the virtual are fundamentally intertwined as (invisible/visible) matter, disrupting and deactivating normative classifications and positions of gender and sexuality.

This study explores ways to establish a traditional cultural learning model suitable for children in the modern educational environment, based on the ADDIE instructional model, to promote cultural identity and internalization of values. To this end, an educational musical program inspired by the traditional Chinese folktale Mulan was developed using educational theater theories and a systematic instructional design framework to create a scientific and practical educational model. Applying the Arts-Based Research (ABR) methodology, this study conducted expert interviews, observed classes taught by frontline educators, and analyzed teaching journals to investigate how educational theater can be effectively utilized in traditional culture and arts education for children. The results indicate that this educational musical program effectively facilitates the understanding and internalization of core cultural values such as loyalty (忠), filial piety (孝), and courage (勇) through situated learning and experiential learning approaches. Additionally, the findings suggest that role-playing and multi-layered interactions enhance cultural sensitivity and engagement. These results further support the idea that a dynamic, ADDIE-based instructional cycle can enhance learning outcomes and contribute to the formation of children's cultural identity. This study not only provides empirical evidence for the application of educational musicals in traditional culture and arts education but also offers a theoretical framework and practical direction for the localization and modernization of traditional cultural education.

The purpose of this study is to develop a physical activity manual to encourage physical activity among youth and foster values and global citizenship through physical activity. The research method was to apply the Living Lab so that field personnel could directly analyze the current situation and derive agendas and solutions. A total of seven research teams directly identified areas that needed improvement in the educational field and developed a manual that could be used as actual curriculum content. A total of four manuals were developed. The first is global citizenship education through play for elementary school students. The second is global citizenship education through creating new sports and flash mob challenges for middle school students. The third is global citizenship education for middle school students to discover the values of the Olympics and sustainable practices. The fourth is global citizenship education through new sports for high school students. Therefore, by teaching the goals of global citizenship education and the value of physical activity, we can foster healthy global citizenship in future generations of the global generation, provide opportunities to participate in physical activity, and spread the value of physical activity. In addition, appropriate research applicable to various fields should continue with policy interest and support from the government and civil society to promote peaceful coexistence.

This study confirms that while Korean creative ballet has been continuously developing, the most serious issue in securing global competitiveness is the lack of a clearly established concept unique to Korean creative ballet. As a strategy to resolve this issue, this study aims to propose measures to secure global competitiveness through the reinforcement of identity. An analysis of previous studies on creative ballet abroad revealed that while the utilization of identity-based creative ballet varies by country, it can be classified into the following four types: First, utilizing identity-based ballet to sustain its existing status; Second, using it as a means to overcome crises; Third, leveraging it to generate substantial economic benefits; Fourth, utilizing it to achieve long-term outcomes. Applying these research findings to Korean creative ballet, a global competitiveness strategy through identity reinforcement is expected to have the following effects: sustaining the status of Korean creative ballet, aiding in crisis resolution, generating tangible profits in a highly competitive market, and securing long-term global competitiveness. Accordingly, this study suggests that rather than solely focusing on economic success and popularity, Korean creative ballet should reflect Korean and national identity while being adapted and refined to align with the current state and characteristics of the global ballet market (such as the need to maintain status, crisis resolution, and intensified competition). Through this, the study ultimately emphasizes that the global competitiveness of Korean creative ballet can be maximized through the reinforcement of its identity.

The purpose of this study is to identify major policies and trends in the field of overseas dance education and to suggest ways in which the school dance education system in Korea might be improved. To this end, a comprehensive analysis was conducted, encompassing seven countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, France, New Zealand, China, Japan, and Taiwan. These countries were selected for the purpose of analysing and comparing their respective school dance policies. The analysis was conducted with a view to identifying implications for the enhancement of school dance in Korea. The study's findings indicate that dance is incorporated into the arts or physical education curriculum in elementary and secondary schools, and is recognised for its value as part of creativity, cultural sharing, emotional well-being, and multicultural education. The study's findings indicated the necessity for the establishment of a viable dance education system within Korean schools, the systematisation of the curriculum, the enhancement of professional dance educators and teacher training, the strengthening of methodology as a cultural education, the improvement of dance education evaluation systems, and the expansion of policy support.

This study aims to analyze the applicability and effectiveness of Team-Based Learning (TBL) in university dance education and to explore the instructor’s role in its effective implementation. A modified Delphi survey was conducted with 10 dance professionals who have experience applying TBL in their classes. The results show that TBL in dance education not only enhances physical abilities and performance skills but also fosters an active and collaborative learning environment where students can exchange creative ideas. It provides an experiential learning platform for essential teamwork, which is crucial in dance, helping to cultivate dancers who value collaboration and harmony. Furthermore, TBL has proven effective in improving communication skills, creativity, responsibility, confidence, and expression. For successful implementation, it is essential to create diverse team compositions, provide a creative and autonomous learning environment, encourage discussions, and check progress periodically. The instructor’s role in this context is not only as a director but as a facilitator, guiding cooperation and supporting students’ creative inquiries through appropriate intervention. Additionally, clear role assignments and evaluation criteria are crucial to ensure a fair learning environment and enhance learning outcomes. This study offers foundational insights into the potential of TBL as a teaching method that promotes cooperative learning and creative thinking in dance education, emphasizing the importance of the instructor’s role in its effective operation.

This study aims to propose a New Media Literacy-based Curriculum for Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Dance Education in Chinese University Dance Departments. Utilizing a Modified Delphi Method and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis, a Panel of Experts in ICH Dance Education identified four primary factors and twenty sub-factors crucial to curriculum development: (1) the digital creation and preservation capacity of ICH dance, (2) the creative integration of ICH dance, (3) the interaction between body and technique in ICH dance, and (4) the ethical management of digital ICH dance. The AHP analysis revealed a priority ranking, with digital creation and preservation, creative integration, and ethical management of digital ICH dance emerging as the most important factors, followed by body-technical interaction. The ability to restore traditional dance movements or forms through digital technologies was identified as the highest-priority competency. Based on these findings, a curriculum titled Digital Intangible Cultural Heritage Dance Creation and Preservation: Techniques and Creative Integration was proposed, integrating new media literacy principles to address the preservation, innovation, and ethical considerations of ICH dance in the digital age.

This study examines public opinion in South Korea on transgender athletes’ participation in sports. Comments from news articles were collected from 2021 to 2024, spanning the Tokyo and Paris Olympics. A total of 470 comments were analyzed using data crawling and qualitative text analysis. Results showed predominantly negative views, particularly toward Male-to-Female (MTF) athletes in women’s divisions. Discussion on Female-to-Male (FTM) athletes were minimal. Some comments suggested independent competitions for transgender athletes. The findings highlight the issue’s growing importance in South Korea. Limitations of comment data are noted, emphasizing the need for further research.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the main factors influencing recreation specialization, to gain an in-depth understanding of the specialization process in leisure activity participation, and to derive practical implications for promoting leisure activities. Data were analyzed using SPSS Ver.26.0 and AMOS Ver.26.0, employing frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis. The results revealed that leisure satisfaction(β=.336) was the most influential variable on recreation specialization, followed by participation duration (β=.255), participation frequency(β=.188), participation intensity(β=.161), extraversion-introversion(E/I; β=.108), thinking-feeling(T/F; β=-.096), and gender(β=.083). First, leisure satisfaction was identified as a key factor in recreation specialization, reinforcing behavior across emotional, behavioral, and cognitive dimensions. Second, participation period, frequency, and intensity were confirmed as major factors in enhancing specialization levels through continuous and repetitive participation and immersion. Third, extraversion(E) and feeling(F) were found to enhance specialization levels through social interaction and social bonding. Lastly, males demonstrated higher specialization levels by focusing on competitive elements, skill improvement, and goal achievement. These findings confirm that leisure satisfaction is a crucial factor in recreation specialization, emphasizing the need for developing personalized programs and strategies to enhance specialization levels.

This study analyzed the effects of instructional improvement in golf classes for university students by utilizing the concept of ‘noticing’ based on autoethnography methodology. The instructor observed and recorded their golf classes, documenting the aspects they focused on during the course as a form of self-study. Data were collected through teaching journals and analyzed using Spradley’s (1979) domain and taxonomic analysis methods. The findings revealed the key aspects the instructor focused on during the operation of the golf class: First, the instructor aimed to clearly understand the goals and objectives of the course, as well as the design and value of the class. Second, learning activities were structured in three stages ―design, implementation, and reflection―and aimed to maximize learning effectiveness through theoretical understanding, skill practice, and interaction. Third, the instructional approach emphasized skill guidance and the use of media to systematically convey techniques and enhance understanding through media materials. Fourth, the evaluation method involved process-oriented assessment along with mid-term and final exams to comprehensively evaluate skill acquisition and functional improvement. This study analyzes the aspects the instructor focused on through the autoethnography approach and provides pedagogical implications for future golf course design and operation.
