The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of life of middle-aged women participating in the 'Beautiful Story grandmother' activity through narratives. Data was collected from 11 informants aged 56 to 65 who are active as story mothers in the Gyeongbuk region through semi-structured interviews, and data was analyzed using thematic analysis among peers. The activities of the story grand mothers revealed a central narrative for participants that includes 'confidence blossoming through effort', 'time for self-care and nurturing', ‘hearts connected through stories', 'a lighthouse sharing wisdom with children', and‘a shining presence in society'. The activities of the participants suggest that the role of storytelling goes beyond merely telling stories to middle-aged women; it becomes an experience that opens a new chapter in life, transforming pain into achievement, time into meaning, and existence into a subjective journey of life. This study confirms that the 'Beautiful Story Grandmother' activity is a vital practice that facilitates self-reflection and the formation of subjectivity among middle-aged women, providing significant implications for understanding the life transition experiences in which they reconstruct their subjective life narratives.

This study explores how the identities of a married soprano -as a housewife, soprano and music educator-are integrated and developed throughout her life. To this end, the study employs arts-based research, narrative inquiry and a quantum mechanical interpretation to describe her multidimensional identity. The researcher, who also appears as the narrative voice of "I", focused on the three-dimensional narrative inquiry space of temporality, sociality and place, deriving the following findings. First, through my multifaceted identities as housewife, soprano and educator, I internalized the superposition state of quantum mechanics. Through my experiences of childbirth and child rearing, I achieved deeper interpretations of arias and art songs, while also growing in my capacity to educate and care for my community and students. Second, through the duo concert with a fellow soprano who accompanied me throughout my musical journey, I experienced the quantum-mechanical entanglement characterized by nonlocal interaction. Third, by communicating with audiences on stage, I internalized the concept of quantum measurement. This study provides policy insights in the lives of married female artists who face career discontinuity and challenges in returning to artistic work after marriage. Futhermore, as an interdisciplinary case that bridges science and art, it presents a practical example of applying quantum mechanics to the arts, thereby offering foundational data for the development of interdisciplinary educational programs that integrate quantum mechanics.

This study examines the emerging model of the ‘University Consortium’ an innovative approach to addressing the limitations of traditional higher education systems. A University Consortium refers to a collaborative framework through which multiple universities collectively share human and material resources to enhance educational and research capacities. This model is proposed as a strategy to cultivate interdisciplinary talent capable of navigating the rapid societal changes unfolding worldwide. The study reviews international cases of university consortia, conducts a typological analysis based on global examples, and proposes strategies to revitalize the University Consortium model in South Korea. Four types of university consortia are identified in this paper: region-based consortia, theme-oriented consortia focused on education and research, online platform-based consortia, and stakeholder-centered consortia. To foster the activation of university consortia in South Korea, this study recommends expanding both online and offline infrastructures, broadening learner demographics, and establishing interdisciplinary talent development systems aligned with concrete social challenges. As education increasingly transitions into digital environments, the development and effective use of shared online platforms become essential. Furthermore, educational programs should embrace diverse learner populations and nurture practical competencies that connect closely with local communities, thereby contributing to a sustainable and impactful educational ecosystem that returns value to society. The ability to critically interpret and derive insights from the outcomes of advanced digital technologies is grounded in the intellectual traditions of the humanities and social sciences. This highlights the growing necessity of promoting interdisciplinary education that integrates the humanities, social sciences, culture, and the arts.

This study aims to understand corporate branding practices that utilize cultural codes and to examine the role of brand visual identity within this process. To this end, Holt’s (2004) cultural branding theory was adopted as the primary analytical framework, supplemented by Peirce’s(1931) semiotic theory as a secondary theoretical background. Based on these frameworks, a qualitative case study of the Chinese tea beverage brand HEYTEA was conducted, supported by a document review of secondary data sources. The analysis revealed that around 2016, China experienced cultural tension between the state-led ideology of reviving traditional culture and collectivism, and the growing individual pursuit of self-realization, which generated social anxieties among consumers. In response, HEYTEA drew attention to the social discourse of “小確幸(small but certain happiness)” as a means to alleviate such anxieties and effectively visualized this cultural myth through its logo design. This interpretation not only extends Holt’s cultural branding theory to the Chinese regional context but also provides academic implications for understanding brands and VI from a socio-cultural perspective.

This study aims to develop a performance management indicator framework for arts and culture convergence curricula based on the CIPP (Context-Input-Process-Product) evaluation model. Literature on curriculum performance management and convergence/arts convergence education, evaluation criteria and indicators from government-funded programs, and operational cases of domestic and international universities and consortia were reviewed through literature, policy, and case analysis. Drawing on these analyses, the CIPP model and SMART principles were applied to structure evaluation domains and indicators across four areas: context (educational goals and vision, talent demand and environmental analysis, governance and institutional foundation), input (curriculum design and content, instructional and human resources support, financial and physical/digital infrastructure), process (fidelity of curriculum implementation, co-curricular programs, use of infrastructure and collaborative operation), and product (educational outcomes, student competencies and career development, dissemination of outcomes and feedback). By applying the CIPP model to arts and culture convergence curricula, this study proposes an integrated performance management framework and a basic set of indicators that can be used by institutions. If these indicators are further refined through field application and empirical validation, they may serve as a practical tool to support quality assurance and sustainable development in arts and culture convergence education.

This study conducted a bibliometric analysis of 406 articles indexed in the Web of Science to examine the developmental trends and structural characteristics of EEG-based music response research. Since the 2000s, this field has shown rapid quantitative growth and multidisciplinary expansion, extending from ERP- and MMN-focused basic studies to emotion, cognition, language, motor, and clinical domains. Neuroscience and psychology were the core disciplines, with growing convergence into clinical neurology and behavioral sciences. Rhythm, harmony, and auditory composite features were major musical variables, and study populations expanded from healthy adults to children, older adults, and clinical groups. Western-led research networks have recently diversified into Asia, forming technology-integrated ecosystems. The emergence of keywords such as “music therapy”, “emotion”, and “stress” highlights EEG's role as a quantitative tool for verifying the neurophysiological mechanisms of music therapy. This study provides a neuroscientific foundation for evidence-based music therapy.

University students today are increasingly exposed to emotional challenges amid rapidly changing social dynamics, competitive academic environments, and uncertain career prospects. Difficulties in emotional regulation, confusion in self-understanding, and pressure in forming relationships continue to affect students beyond academic domains. These issues are gradually being recognized not merely as individual concerns, but as matters that higher education institutions should engage with from an educational standpoint. This study aims to explore whether co-curricular programs in universities can serve as a practical approach to alleviating emotional difficulties and enhancing emotional awareness among students. To this end, it reviews various theoretical frameworks-including Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), resilience, positive psychology, and mindfulness and constructs a conceptual model for designing emotion-centered co-curricular programs based on the emotional recovery process. Four sequential stages-recognition, expression, release, and reconstruction-serve as the foundation for proposing nine types of program models, each accompanied by a discussion of their core components and implementation strategies. Furthermore, the study outlines several design principles-such as ensuring emotional safety, structuring activities according to emotional development, and providing flexibility in participation-that may inform practical program development. In terms of evaluation, the study emphasizes the importance of assessing emotional change and depth of self-reflection over simple participant satisfaction. This research does not seek to position co-curricular programs as alternatives to professional therapeutic interventions, nor does it attempt to generalize its findings across all institutional contexts. Rather, it suggests that, if emotional engagement can be more naturally and continuously integrated into the educational experience, emotion-centered co-curricular activities may be considered as a meaningful form of student support within higher education.

This study examines the structural factors that intensify learning gaps in public education in the AI era and explores the need to reconstruct a teacher support ecosystem to address these challenges. A preliminary mixed-methods approach was employed, combining document analysis with semi-structured in-depth interviews, using UNESCO’s (2021) Inclusive and Equitable Education framework focusing on access, participation, and outcome. The findings reveal that an examination-oriented education system, increased cognitive load, and unequal access to digital technologies and instructional tools constrain the implementation of convergent education and exacerbate learning gaps. Teachers also face structural limitations related to time, human resources, and professional support when implementing personalized learning. Based on these findings, this study proposes directions for establishing a practice-oriented teacher support ecosystem that integrates teacher professional development, digital resources, and community partnerships to promote inclusive future education.

This study analyzes traditional painting units in eleven high school art textbooks developed under the 2022 Revised Curriculum and examines the integrative potential of traditional painting education using Kane and Trochim’s (2007) concept mapping method. Employing a combination of content analysis, multidimensional scaling (MDS), and cluster analysis, conceptual relationships embedded in textbook texts and learning activities were structurally visualized. The analysis identified six core conceptual clusters: Nature-Harmony, Tradition- Culture-Succession, Appreciation-Reflection-Verbalization, Expression-Material-Technique, Aesthetics-Sayi-Qi, and Convergence-Creativity-Expansion. These clusters formed a hierarchical structure in which appreciation-based domains occupied central positions, while material practice, aesthetic philosophy, and contemporary reinterpretation functioned as mediating or peripheral domains. The findings reveal that although traditional painting education demonstrates integrative potential, explicit articulation of Eastern aesthetic concepts and structurally connected experiential activities remain limited. This study suggests that concept mapping provides an effective analytical framework for examining the cognitive and structural organization of traditional painting education in art textbooks.

This study investigated how arts middle and high school ballet majors make sense of concurrent Pilates training and how perceived changes relate to performance satisfaction, self-regulation, and emotional stability. Twelve students from a Seoul-based arts school (“S School”) completed semi-structured interviews (June 16-October 31, 2025), analyzed via Braun and Clarke’s (2006) thematic analysis with member checking and an audit trail. participants reframed alignment as ongoing sensing and adjustment and reported improved breath- intra-abdominal pressure-based core support, a shift in balance from ankle-dominant to hip/core-centered control, controlled mobility, and enhanced self-regulation through scaling load, speed, and range. Reported changes followed a pathway from alignment awareness to core regulation, improved balance/mobility quality, and increased satisfaction and emotional stability. Instructor feedback and logistical accessibility shaped transfer and sustained participation; future studies should test these pathways using mixed methods and longitudinal designs.

This study explores The Great Taekwondo Show as a representative case of affective convergence between martial arts (Taekwondo) and contemporary dance within body-centered performing arts. It examines how traditional martial techniques―such as poomsae, kihap, and breaking―are reconfigured through choreographic phrasing, aesthetic bodily lines, and emotional abstraction to generate a hybrid performative language. The research further analyzes the mise-en-scene elements, including stage, lighting, music, and projection mapping, and how these sensory strategies deepen the emotional immersion of the audience. By tracing the artistic transformation of martial movements into narrative and symbolic bodily semiotics, the study demonstrates the potential of embodied performance to integrate discipline, expression, and storytelling. In doing so, it offers insight into the aesthetic, industrial, and pedagogical potential of such convergence, while also identifying structural challenges―such as genre identity, collaborative production systems, and policy frameworks―required for sustainable development. Ultimately, this paper provides a theoretical and practical foundation for future interdisciplinary performing arts research and practice.

This study identifies the core components of university dance-based liberal arts education and examines their relative importance. Two rounds of Delphi surveys were conducted with ten instructors teaching dance-related liberal arts courses, and content validity and consensus were evaluated using the coefficient of variation (CV) and content validity ratio (CVR). The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was employed to determine the relative weights of the identified components. The analysis yielded five domains―educational philosophy and value orientation; instructional design and implementation; competency-based education; learning outcomes and assessment; and institutional support―comprising eighteen sub-components, all meeting established CV and CVR criteria. Educational philosophy and value orientation emerged as the most influential domain, particularly emphasizing holistic and humanistic growth and experience- and reflection-centered instruction. These findings suggest that dance-based liberal arts education extends beyond skill-centered training, functioning as a site for humanistic reflection and the cultivation of core competencies through artistic experience. The study highlights the importance of institutional support in positioning dance-based liberal arts education as a central component of the university liberal arts curriculum.

This study phenomenologically explored the perceptions, psycho-social changes, and artistic self-formation processes experienced by adult men participating in ballet within a repetitive and normative social structure. In-depth interviews were conducted with 10 adult male ballet participants from various professions, and their experiences were subsequently analyzed. Participants initiated ballet participation as a channel for the 'liberatory desire to escape familiar daily life'. During ballet performance, they experienced the 'realization of physical limits and subtle sensory awareness,' leading to psychological ventilation and the recovery of their phenomenological self-existence. Time spent immersed in movements also functioned as a 'period of liberation and stability,' allowing them to transcend social roles. Furthermore, participants overcame the initial challenge of 'external gaze,' which helped 'restore their self-esteem'. They sustained their motivation through 'mutual support and a sense of belonging' within the community. The experience of 'artistic flow' (flow) where physical sensation and music integrated, was a key mechanism that reduced anxiety and heightened emotional satisfaction. Ultimately, ballet provided male participants with the opportunity for the 'rediscovery of physical sensation' and 'artistic self-exposure through emotional expression'. Through this process, they 'formed an artistic self and reestablished their identity,' transcending traditional gender role norms. In conclusion, this study confirms that ballet provides adult men with value as an inclusive space for self-liberation, psychological stability, and the growth of the artistic self.

The purpose of this study was to propose directions for strengthening the institutional foundation of early childhood dance education in Korea by examining international policy frameworks and analyzing the current legal and operational conditions in Korea. To this end, a literature review and expert opinion survey were conducted to identify key areas for institutional improvement, focusing on four domains: legal and institutional foundations, curriculum and assessment, professional workforce development, and operational support systems. The findings indicate that major countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Japan, incorporate dance as a core component of arts education from early childhood within national curricula, supported by systematic teacher development and institutional collaboration with cultural organizations. In contrast, early childhood dance education in Korea lacks a clear position within the national curriculum and legal framework, resulting in fragmented practices across institutions, limited teacher qualification standards, and the absence of standardized assessment criteria. Expert perspectives highlighted the need to clarify the role of dance or movement-based expressive activities within the national curriculum, establish standardized curricula and assessment frameworks, develop specialized professional training systems, and strengthen practical administrative and operational support for educational settings. This study suggests that an integrated institutional approach is essential for embedding early childhood dance education within public education and provides foundational insights for future policy development in early childhood arts education.

The purpose of this study is to clarify academic mechanisms and methodological systems by reinterpreting Kim Young-hee's Basic Breathing Creation from the perspective of retailics called "ideokinesis". Despite its characteristics, the "breathing" of Korean dance is often delivered in the educational field depending on experience and intuition, and there have been difficulties in systematic theorizing. To supplement this, this study sees the movement method proposed by the Basic Breathing Creation as a Korean retail tick method with image-based breathing-motion synchronization as a core mechanism, and discusses that the image of Ideokinesis can stimulate the dancer's unique sense of acceptance and be linked to nerve plasticity and neuromuscular re-patterning through repeated training. As a research method, a qualitative content analysis was performed on the Basic Breathing Creation. As a result of the analysis, ① the training structure using inconsistent images and length and wave images was interpreted as the principle of neuromuscular re-patterning based on Ideokinesis, and ② suggests that the condensation and expansion of "tying and expanding" and breathing-motion synchronization grammar based on flexural breathing is linked to the texture of movement. ③ The combination of hierarchical space, attention, and anatomical explicitness into lower, middle, and upper stages was identified as a methodology that could systematically design breathing training. In conclusion, this study is meaningful in that it presented Korean dance breathing as a methodology that can be explained through the perspective of neuroscience and retail science.

The purpose of this study was to explore in depth the professional identity of female equestrian coaches from a phenomenological perspective. Applying Giorgi’s descriptive phenomenological method, five female equestrian coaches with over three years of coaching experience participated in semi-structured, in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed through repeated reading, identification of meaning units, transformation into psychological and educational language, and integration into essential structures. The analysis identified five key themes: (1) relational trust and pride; (2) embodied expertise expressed through sensory coaching; (3) temporal development and professional maturity; (4) strategies of conformity and resistance within structural constraints; and (5) coexistence of pride and limitation. These findings indicate that female equestrian coaches’ professional identity is not confined to technical competence, but constitutes a complex structure integrating relationship, emotion, ethics, and practice. This study contributes to the field by illuminating the lived experiences of female equestrian coaches, redefining gender sensitivity and professionalism in sport coaching, and providing a conceptual foundation for sustainable and equitable leadership in the sports field.

This study aims to examine differences in leisure participation patterns by distinguishing between Extraversion(E) and Introversion(I) personality types within the MBTI framework. The study population comprised university students enrolled in four-year institutions located in the Seoul metropolitan area who actively participated in leisure activities. A purposive sampling method was employed to collect survey responses from 496 students, After excluding 30 responses with low reliability, a total of 466 valid responses were analyzed. Data processing was conducted using Spss 26.0 and Amos 26.0, and analyses included frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and nonlinear regression analysis. The findings of the study are as follows. First, in the Extraversion(E) group, the relationship between participation duration and recreational specialization followed a quadratic nonlinear model as the optimal fit(p<.001). Second, in the Introversion(I) group, the relationship between participation duration and recreational specialization followed a linear model as the optimal fit(p<.001). Third, in the Extraversion(E) group, the relationship between recreational specialization and leisure satisfaction was best represented by a cubic nonlinear model(p<.001). Fourth, in the Introvertion(I) group, the relationship between recreational specialization and leisure satisfaction was best explained by a quadratic nonlinear model(p<.05). The findings of this study confirm that differences exist in leisure participation patterns based on MBTI personality types (Extraversion vs. Introvertion). These results highlight the importance of developing personalized leisure activity strategies that align with individual personality traits thereby serving as a valuable resource for enhancing leisure engagement and satisfaction.

This study aims to develop a field-oriented, systematic psychological skills training program for athletes experiencing the service yips in racket sports such as tennis and badminton. While existing research on yips has predominantly focused on golf and baseball or validated the effects of single psychological techniques, this study is differentiated by designing an integrated 8-session program that reflects the multidimensional nature of service yips. This was achieved through in-depth interviews with athletes and coaches experiencing service yips, a review of recent literature, and consultations with sport psychology experts. The program was developed by reconstructing core psychological skills― mindfulness, relaxation, self-talk, imagery, and routines―to align with the specific biomechanics and psychological pressures of the serve. Key components include: 1) 'mindfulness training' for non-judgmental observation of negative thoughts and physical sensations; 2) 'progressive muscle relaxation and breathing control' to manage excessive muscle tension during the serve; 3) 'self-talk training' to transform fear of failure into process-oriented positive cues; 4) 'imagery training' to reinforce the neural circuits of a successful service motion; and 5) the development and habituation of a 'personalized pre-service routine' to integrate these skills for consistent performance under pressure. The 8-session program proposed in this study presents a concrete roadmap for systematically regulating the psychological anxiety and maladaptive physical responses that are the root causes of service yips, thereby helping athletes cultivate self-regulation skills. It provides a practical intervention for athletes suffering from service yips and serves as a foundational resource for coaches and sport psychology practitioners by offering a professional intervention protocol.

This study aimed to systematically review trends in sport measurement and evaluation for enhancing performance in modern tennis―a sport where technique, physical fitness, tactics, and psychology are intricately combined―and to propose future directions. Objective measurement and evaluation serve as essential scientific tools for maximizing athlete potential and systematic development. The review identifies significant methodological advancements across key domains. Biomechanics has progressed with 3D motion analysis and wearable sensors enhancing the understanding of the kinetic chain. Physiology has seen the development of portable devices for real-time metabolic analysis and tennis-specific fitness protocols like the T-test. Match analysis has evolved to quantify spatio-temporal patterns and tactical decision-making, while psychological assessment is expanding beyond traditional questionnaires to include psychophysiological approaches such as EEG and eye-tracking. Based on these findings, future research should be directed toward: (1) developing integrated models for multi-domain data analysis; (2) implementing AI and machine learning for automated analysis; (3) expanding research populations to include female and wheelchair players; (4) strengthening field-based research with wearable sensors and virtual reality (VR); and (5) continuing the standardization and validation of tennis-specific psychological measurement tools. In conclusion, when scientific measurement is integrated with the experiential knowledge of coaches to provide practical solutions, it can serve as a core driver for achieving the ultimate goal of performance enhancement in tennis.

This study aimed to explore the meaning of senior care practice mediated through physical activity by analyzing the reflective journals of university students who participated in the community-based < Community Sportcare (CS) > course. Forty students enrolled in the 2025 academic year at a large-sized university in Seoul, and participated in a 12-week intergenerational physical activity program. A total of 240 reflective journals were analyzed using the narrative inquiry framework proposed by Clandinin and Connelly (2000). Through iterative reading and thematic coding, meaningful units related to events, emotions, and relationships were extracted. The analysis identified three interrelated themes: (a) discovery of senior care, (b) expansion of relationship, and (c) growth of citizenship. Students redefined senior care not as a unidirectional act of help but as an attitudinal practice within reciprocal relationships. Physical activity functioned as an embodied medium for mutual understanding and practical empathy, while participation in the community enabled students to broaden their civic responsibility and transform themselves from learners to active citizens. The findings indicate that physical activity can serve as a social space for relational learning, empathy, and civic growth, extending beyond individual health benefits. The Community Sportcare program highlights the potential of higher education to evolve into an experiential model of “caring in motion” that bridges the body, relationships, and community.

This study explored how pre-service physical education teachers integrate content, pedagogical, and technological knowledge when reconstructing textbooks and designing and assessing lessons using AI, and examined how their teacher identity develops through this process. Participants were 38 pre-service physical education teachers from a university in the Seoul metropolitan area. Data included AI-based textbook reconstruction outputs, lesson plans, reflective journals, and end-of-semester open-ended surveys collected over one semester. An inductive content analysis was conducted and interpreted through TPACK and situated learning theory. Findings show that participants moved beyond fragmented material creation to designing lessons as a coherent sequence connecting learner analysis, goal setting, activity design, and assessment planning. Their lesson design ability strengthened as they concurrently considered educational purpose, learner needs, and assessment validity. Assessment perspectives shifted from performance- and product-oriented to growth- and process-oriented approaches, supported by self-assessment, peer assessment, and cyclical feedback. Their perception of teacher roles also evolved from information provider to professional facilitator of learning. A four-stage AI-TPACK developmental model is proposed, outlining progression from basic AI use, to partial application, to full unit design, and finally to reflective identity formation. The study emphasizes the need to embed AI-TPACK lesson design within teacher education programs and to provide school-applicable models and teacher training. Future research should examine diverse contexts and employ longitudinal designs to validate the model.

This study investigates the necessity and feasibility of establishing an e-sports convergent cultural complex in Busan, Republic of Korea. Using a mixed-methods design, the research integrated environmental analysis, domestic and international case studies, a citizen perception survey, GIS-based site evaluation, economic impact analysis, and architectural concept development. Results indicate that Busan―supported by the BIFF-BEXCO-G-STAR- Haeundae cultural-tourism corridor―possesses strong policy, industrial, and technological foundations for such a facility. The citizen survey showed high awareness and perceived attractiveness, with more than half expressing willingness to visit and a clear demand for comprehensive content including experiential programs, F&B, merchandise, festivals, and education. GIS analysis identified Gijang and Gangseo as cost-efficient options in the short term, whereas Jung-gu, Haeundae-Suyeong, and Busanjin emerged as optimal long-term locations. Input-output analysis estimated that, with a construction cost of 300 billion KRW and 500,000 annual visitors, the project could yield a production impact of 426.6 billion KRW, value-added of 190.2 billion KRW, and approximately 3,079 jobs. The study proposes the “BUSAN E-SPORTS OCEAN ARENA” and Land-Sea Arena Loop concept, presenting spatial and policy directions for a maritime-city-based e-sports cultural complex integrating competition, experience, tourism, and public culture.

The purpose of this study is to phenomenologically examine the tournament experiences of Korean middle- and high-school Taekwondo athletes. Based on semi-structured interviews with six participants and analyzed through Giorgi’s phenomenological procedure, six thematic categories emerged: (1) multi-layered participation motives, including achievement, career, and experiential goals, (2) memorable in-game moments characterized by sensory arousal and subjective time distortion, (3) personal meanings tied to self-evaluation and the restructuring of daily routines, (4) affective and attitudinal shifts that reinforce sportsmanship and ethical awareness, (5) perceived limitations in event operations, such as navigation, waiting times, and amenities, and (6) impressions of host cities that highlight weak connections between tournaments and local resources. These findings suggest that youth Taekwondo tournaments serve not merely as competitive arenas but as developmental environments that foster identity formation, self-regulation, and social interaction.

This study applied the approach-avoidance motivation theory to examine differences in leisure satisfaction, recreation specialization, and happiness among baseball club members. It also aimed to identify the relationships among these variables based on levels of approach-avoidance motivation. A total of 380 baseball club members participated in the survey. Frequency analysis and descriptive statistics were conducted for demographic characteristics and participation levels. Confirmatory factor analysis verified construct validity, and one-way ANOVA tested group differences. Correlation and simple regression analyses were performed to examine the effects of approach-avoidance motivation on leisure satisfaction, recreation specialization, and happiness. Higher levels of approach-avoidance motivation were associated with greater leisure satisfaction and recreation specialization, while no significant differences were found in happiness. Leisure satisfaction had a positive effect on recreation specialization, particularly among participants with lower motivational levels. Approach-avoidance motivation plays a key role in enhancing leisure satisfaction and recreation specialization among baseball participants. These findings can be applied to various leisure and sports contexts.

This study aims to systematically explore research trends and interrelationships among core themes in elite sports coaching by conducting a keyword network analysis of academic articles published between 2004 and 2024 in domestic and international databases. Utilizing text mining techniques, major keywords were extracted and analyzed in terms of frequency and connectivity. Centrality indices were calculated to identify key concepts within the field, and CONCOR (Convergence of Iterated Correlations) analysis was employed to classify sub-theme clusters based on semantic similarities between keywords. The results revealed that key topics such as performance enhancement, psychological coaching, coach-athlete interactions, professional development, team dynamics, and athlete well-being have played a central role in elite sports coaching research. Furthermore, the analysis of temporal keyword trends indicated a shift in focus from technical and strategic coaching approaches to an increasing interest in psychological and social factors, including the expanded roles and professionalization of coaches. This trend reflects a growing emphasis on the holistic development of athletes and the importance of interpersonal relationships within sports teams. By providing a structured overview of the knowledge structure in elite sports coaching, this study offers valuable insights for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners. It not only maps the current academic landscape but also highlights underexplored subtopics and emerging trends that can guide future research. The findings and methodology presented in this study may also be extended to other areas of coaching and sport science research.
